Velmont Dog Grooming Academy provides an inclusive learning environment for grooming at any level of experience. As the first dog grooming academy in North Devon since 2020, we have been teaching for over 3 years. More than 10 students who completed our course have successfully launched their own businesses.

Our academy is accredited by the Pet Collective Network, founded by Kelly Gayler, known from Pooch Perfect. In partnership with Shelley Hill, we offer the AIM program, featuring a recognized Level 3 Diploma and First Aid Certification.

The 10-month course takes place one day a week on either Thursday or Tuesday, usually from 9 am to 5 pm, with some flexibility to accommodate commitments like school runs. With a maximum of only 3 students per course, each trainee receives personalized 1-on-1 support.

Upon successful completion of the course, graduates have the opportunity to rent a table in our newly revamped salon, equipped with the best grooming facilities on the market. They can go on with their own business with ongoing support.
